It is Well

God has placed before us a profound choice: life or death, blessing or cursing. Yet remarkably, He doesn't leave us guessing—He tells us plainly to "choose life." Our words are not idle; they are like bricks building our future, shaping our reality, and influencing our atmosphere. The Hebrew word "dabar" means both "word" and "to build," revealing that every time we speak, we are constructing something in the spiritual realm.

The Shunammite woman faced every parent's worst nightmare—her promised son died unexpectedly. Yet when asked about her situation, she declared three times, "It is well." This wasn't denial or toxic positivity; it was radical faith in God's character and promises. She refused to partner with death through her words, even while carrying her dead son to the prophet. Her faith-filled declarations didn't change her circumstances immediately, but they positioned her to receive the miracle. Like her, we can acknowledge difficult realities while simultaneously declaring God's truth over them. "It is well" isn't about our present circumstances; it's about our unchanging God who holds our future. This kind of faith calls those things that are not as though they are.  (2 Kings 4:8-37)

Reflection: Today, examine what you're building with your words. Are you speaking life over your circumstances, your family, your health? God has given you the blueprint for blessing—His Word. Partner with Him by declaring His promises over your life

Prayer: Lord, help me to be like the Shunammite woman, declaring "it is well" even in difficult circumstances. Teach me to speak life, to guard my heart, and to keep my eyes fixed on You. Fill me with Your Spirit and empower me to build with my words rather than tear down. In Jesus' name, Amen.
